SIRA is offering four scholarships to study a Graduate Certificate in Personal Injury Management

SIRA is offering four industry professionals the opportunity to receive a scholarship to study a Graduate Certificate in Personal Injury Management as part of its commitment to leading sector capability development.

The postgraduate pathway is being delivered jointly by the Personal Injury Education Foundation (PIEF) and Monash University.

Learning alongside peers and colleagues in the personal injury sector, this course provides the opportunity to enhance knowledge, skills, and depth of experience in the personal injury insurance industry.

The first course ‘Principles of Personal Injury Scheme Design’, delivered by PIEF online, starts on 23 May and will run for 9 weeks. Participants are expected to commit to 6-10 hours of learning each week, including 3 full days in week 5.

Eligibility Criteria

SIRA is opening this opportunity to professionals working in the NSW workers compensation and CTP schemes, which may include those in the following roles:

  • Case/Claims managers
  • Injury management specialists
  • Quality assessors
  • Rehabilitation providers
  • Allied health professionals
  • Legal professionals

Applicants will need to have either a

  • Bachelor degree in a cognate discipline (e.g., Health or Business); or a
  • Bachelor degree in a non-cognate discipline (e.g., Art, Engineering) and more than 1 year of industry experience; or a
  • minimum of 5 years industry experience in the personal injury management field (appropriate field of experience to be determined on a case-by-case basis).
