New SIRA Chief Executive

Mandy Young has been appointed the new Chief Executive at the State Insurance Regulatory Authority (SIRA).

Ms Young will join SIRA on 10 June 2024 from her current position as Chief Operating Officer, at the Department of Customer Service (DCS).

SIRA Chair Trevor Matthews welcomes the appointment and extensive experience that Ms Young brings to the role.

“Mandy has more than 20 years’ experience in executive leadership roles within the NSW public sector. She understands the work SIRA continues to do to ensure NSW insurance schemes protect and support people who need them the most,” Mr Matthews said.

Dr Petrina Casey will continue to act in the Chief Executive role until 10 June.
